The W Hotel Downtown knows how to celebrate summer with many fun events, including Travel Tuesdays. From 6-8pm every Tuesday you can enjoy happy hour with $10 cocktails of the night and passed appetizers. What makes this night so enjoyable is that each Tuesday they take you to a new W Hotel location of their choosing. Each Travel Tuesday takes place on the 5th floor of the hotel, overlooking lower Manhattan, and includes complimentary sips and bites, as well as a themed movie.
This past Tuesday, July 2nd, we explored Singapore with Singapore Sling Cocktails, passed wontons, and an old movie called “Road to Singapore.” Here, guests were able to enjoy the Living Room Bar menu while also trying some fried wontons that the chef whipped up. The Living Room Bar has a wonderful and comfortable, yet sleek ambiance that really gives you a good vibe, as well as offering a great menu full of delicious burgers, calamari, and of course, the apps of the night! The Singapore Slings were fantastic and were reminiscent of pink lemonade, while the crispy wontons and duck sauce added just the right amount of bite and sweetness to the evening.
Travel Tuesdays will continue all summer long so be sure to check out their calendar where you will also see other events like their ultimate Passport events, bar specials, and much, much more! So even if you can’t make it out of the city this summer, you sure will feel like you’re on a different continent!
