Taking place from September 28th through November 10th, the Studio in London is celebrating Hallowe’en with exploration of the darkness of the wizarding world. Fans of dark magic can explore the Great Hall, which will be adorned with over 100 floating pumpkins, along with a feast of red apples, pumpkins and cauldrons full of lollipops. Guests will also be able to check out the original death eater costumes from the films and learn wand combat moves in an interactive experience with wand choreographer Paul Harris. You can test your skill in a live duel with death eaters once you’ve master the moves. Additionally, slimy troll bogies, buckets of three-headed bog drool, and silvery unicorn blood will be strewn throughout the tour and you can learn how it was all created. A stroll down a dark and foreboding Diagon Alley will give you a feel for what it was like when Harry was Undesirable No.1.
Additionally, the Studio will also be hosting two exclusive costume evenings on October 6th and 7th from 6:45pm where fans can come dressed as their favorite wizard, muggle or creature and partake in unique photo ops and giveaways.
Closer to home, Potterheads can head to Revolution Bar & Musical Hall on Long Island for a magic-filled party on October 5th at 8pm. Last year, this sold out event saw tons of witches and wizards flock through their doors. This year, the pop-up party will include Harry Potter trivia, whimsical drink specials that include Fire Whisky, Unicorn Blood and Butterbeer, magicians, music, dancing and cosplay. Come dressed to the nines (Yule Ball style, if you wish) as there will be a costume contest where guests can win cash and prizes. There will also be a Quidditch Pong tournament for those who think they’ve got what it takes to be as good a seeker as Harry.

Can’t make it to either of these epic Potter bashes? Don’t fear! You can still serve up a Harry Potter themed Halloween fit for Hogwarts. Order up some Hogwarts house mini cakes from Williams Sonoma and sort your friends into their rightly home. You can also dress the part with this Hermione costume from Hot Topic, or put the finishing touches on your home with Pottery Barn’s Harry Potter candle. Oh, and don’t forget to put out some Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans for the trick-or-treaters…they may or may not thank you!
