You know what sucks? Losing things. A live in a state of what I like to think of as organized chaos, so losing my keys isn’t that uncommon. Enter: the Tile app. This app, which comes with a small square “tile,” allows you to keep track of anything you might be accustomed to misplacing — keys, wallets, phones, kids, etc. Simply hook the tile onto whatever item you’d like to track and voila, your problems are solved.
Here’s how it works: the app on your phone syncs with your Tile so that you can see the last time and place you saw your item, so you’ll know just where to look to find it. If you still can’t find it, you can expand your search within the app to use all Tiles to find it. If your Tile is within 100 feet (thanks Verizon bluetooth!), it will play a loud song until you find it. Similarly, if you can’t find your phone but have your Tile, you can press a button on it to ring your phone, even if it’s on silent.
Things to love: It’s water resistant, so you’re allowed to lose things rain or shine. It’s speakers are loud, so you can hear it a few rooms away or even if it fell in the garbage. The battery lasts a full year, after which your Tile will be replaced with a brand new one for a fraction of the cost. Best of all, it’s so simple to use. Setting it up is a breeze and takes no time at all, and then you’re ready to go! We also love that you can attach it to any luggage you might be traveling with to ensure it doesn’t get lost en route – genius!
This one simple item will make life way easier…if only we had 50 of them.
