For those with a mean appetite who dig a laid back atmosphere, we’ve got the ultimate sports bar for you to check out. Social Bar & Grill, located just outside of the busy streets of Times Square, caters to everyone. The downstairs mimics your typical sports bar and pub, while the upstairs has a more upscale feel. Their happy hour is unrivaled, lasting all day long Sunday and Monday, from 12-8pm Tuesday through Friday, and 12-10pm on Saturday. During happy hour, you can purchase $4 Bud, Bud Light, and Coors Light, $5 Cabernet, Pinot Grigio and Sam Adams Boston Lager, and $4.50 well drinks. They also host reverse happy hour every Wednesday from 11pm until closing. Their special deals just keep coming — they also have 1/2 bottles of wine on Wednesdays from 6-10pm, ladies night on Tuesdays starting at 7pm with awesome drink specials, and trivia night on Mondays!
Selecting a dish from their menu might be the one of the toughest things you’ll ever do…with options like Skillet Cheese Fries ($8), Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Chicken ($9), and Pulled Pork Sliders ($11), it’s hard to make a wrong move. We can highly recommend the Caramelized Onion Dip ($9) as an appetizer, which comes with crispy house potato fries that are cooked to perfection. Way better than your average chips n’ dip! With such a large selection of specialty burgers, it’s kind of a no-brainer to order one up. They have innovative options, such as the Dubliner Irish Burger, made with maple cured bacon, Dubliner Irish cheddar, lettuce, tomato, onion and secret sauce ($12.50) and the Social Burger, made with Thai sweet chili glaze, avocado, papaya, watercress, red onion and goat cheese ginger mayonnaise ($13). You’ll be happy to know that the burgers are cooked to your liking and super juicy and flavorful. Social Bar & Grill also serves fun vegetarian options you will love, like the Ultimate Grilled Cheese, made with soft ripened brie cheese, mango and avocado on griddled sourdough bread ($10) or yummy Mac and Cheese ($9.50).
In addition to their full service bar, guests can also order one of their many specialty cocktails. Prepare to be impressed by their Cotton Candy Cosmopolitan ($9), which is a classic Cosmo poured over fresh cotton candy. Not your cup of tea? We also enjoyed their Ruby Red Margarita ($8), made with Absolut Ruby Red, premium tequila, grapefruit, orange juice and cranberry juice.
There is always something fun going on at Social Bar & Grill, and with such great staff, delicious fare, and plenty of drinks to keep you happy, there’s no excuses for not heading over and giving it a go. We expect to see you there soon — Manhattan with a Twist will sure be back!
