Add Some Magic to Your Saturday Nights

by

To call Eric Walton’s new streaming show, Virtual Impossibilities, simply a magic show is certainly an understatement. The critically-acclaimed performer is blowing minds again for a short period this winter season.

Suited to be engaging in a virtual format, the interactive one-man performance showcases Walton’s intuitive abilities, including his ability to mind read. He asks everyone attending to keep their cameras on while he randomly picks attendees to participate throughout the performance. One by one, the skits were not only entertaining, but he was actually accurate in reading their minds. While his skills were very impressive, I must admit, I was still skeptical. I wanted to believe he could actually read the minds of his audience, but my first thought was these attendees were planted in the audience. (Okay, my skepticism runs pretty deep.) Certainly, that was the only way he could be so accurate, right? I just knew he wasn’t going to engage with me because I was a “real audience member.” But just as I was patting myself on the back for figuring out the plan, Walton called on me. I was supposed to silently pick a word from the text he was going to read aloud. Then, by reading my mind, he was going to determine what word I chose. He got it right!

Ever the skeptic, I’m still not sure if Eric Walton is actually reading minds, but it sure is entertaining watching him. Virtual Impossibilities live streams from the eco-friendly, Wild Project located in the East Village. Performances are every Saturday from January 2nd-February 27th. All shows begin at 8:00 P.M. EST. Tickets are $20.00 per household, limit one device per ticket holder. For tickets, visit the https://www.virtualimpossibilities.com/.
