With all of the hoopla surrounding the US Open every year, it’s no surprise that tennis fans from near and far flock to New York to catch a bit of the action. Last week, Lavazza Coffee announced an exciting multi-year partnership with tennis legend and author Andre Agassi at an intimate breakfast at Nomo Kitchen in the city.
In 2015, Lavazza became the only f&b brand to partner with all four Grand Slams around the world — we even got to try some of their infamous US Open branded cappuccinos last year at the Open! The partnership with Agassi features a global digital campaign featuring video content, social media and experiential components (have you seen Agassi clones roaming the streets of NYC??) focusing on Andre Agassi’s “return” to Arthur Ashe stadium. The “I’m Back” campaign’s focus is on bringing back the iconic 90’s Agassi, complete with mullet. Throughout the duration of the US Open, for every cup of Lavazza sold, the brand will donate $1 to the USTA Foundation.
During the announcement breakfast, attendees enjoyed an array of pastries, fruits, and of course, coffee, and got to chat with the legend himself. Peep the campaign video below:
