Earlier this week DARKOH made its debut on the runway during New York Fashion Week, making girls go gaga and men green with envy. The young menswear brand was recently launched by German designer Joyce Darkoh, who is one of the rare females designing mens suits. The brand focuses on bespoke tailoring to produce customized suits in a ready-to-wear collection. Because of the variations in each individual’s body and high demand for suits, Joyce collaborated with renowned pattern makers who have worked with Saville Row tailors to create a line of trend-oriented, fashionable menswear.
The collection featured outstanding craftsmanship and playful, yet fashionable designs. Remarkably, the bespoke quality suits retail for affordable prices from $665 to $995. The line featured a range of materials, from tweed and wool to linen and leather. Some of the suits were more tame and could be seen on any young, fashionable man, while others were for the more daring of males. Colors ranged from neutrals to bright greens, burnt oranges and teal.
