Every day there seems to be a new food holiday that gives people a chance to indulge in the foods they love. While they may seem silly, why not partake?! You don’t need to tell me twice to eat a cookie for national chocolate chip cookie day! Coming up on January 25th is National Irish Coffee Day, and while it’s well and good to celebrate with your favorite brew and Irish whiskey, there’s an even more fun way to partake in the upcoming “holiday.”
New York’s beloved Dough Doughnuts has teamed up with Slane Irish Whiskey to celebrate National Irish Coffee Day in the best way possible. Limited edition whiskey flavored doughnuts will be available now through the 25th, and they are drool worthy. Here’s what they’re serving:
The Irish Coffee Choc-Tail Doughnut: a velvety chocolate cake doughnut dipped in a Slane-infused coffee glaze.
The Spiked Irish Coffee Doughnut: a traditional yeast doughnut coated in a whiskey infused iced coffee glaze made from Slane Irish Whiskey, coffee extract and sugar.
The Irish Coffee & Cream-Filled Doughnut: a classic yeast doughnut filled with a Slane Irish Whiskey Swiss buttercream, and then rolled in orange sugar.
Each doughnut is delicious, and your favorite will definitely depend on your preferences. We could’ve downed a dozen of each, it was too hard to pick a winner!
