Eat! Drink! Italy!

Italy is at your fingertips come July 6^th, 2013.  A new show will air on channel 13, hosted by Vic Rallo, a New Jersey Restaurateur and well-known wine critic. Rallo went from earning a law degree to owning and operating Basil T’s Brewery and Italian Grill in Red Bank, NJ and Undici Taverna Rustica in Rumson, NJ. Both restaurants have received numerous awards for their excellent cuisine, service, and extensive Italian wine lists. As if Victor does not do enough, he is also an Italian wine expert and critic recognized for his personality and palate. In this new series, Rallo takes viewers on a journey through Italy’s endless supply of food and wine from the Alps to the South Shores of Sicily…Vic does it all!

This catchy phrase is in the preview on the Eatdrinkitaly.org site where you can get a sneak preview of the first season and capture his bold and outgoing personality that will make this new show fabulous!  Between exploring underground caves to amazing wineries and culinary artists, this will not be a show you will want to miss. Rallo explains, “What it really is, is just simple, unconscious, sumptuous, sustainable living and always using the best and freshest ingredients you can find. For thousands of years these people have used whatever grows outside their door to create the most delectable, but simple dishes. When it comes to Italian wine, it’s all about passion and pride.” Imagine being able to explore the best of Italy without having to go there; then again, after just one episode you may be booking the next flight to go explore this amazing country yourself!

With thirteen, 30-minute episodes and not giving away the entire season, you can expect cheese artistry; a tour of Piedmont with Vic’s clean, simple and easy method for frying calamari; Moscato exploration, wine, art, and classics as well as “Going Deep”, a walk through Napoleon’s ancient wine tunnels. A variety of other topics will captivate the audience as he shows, discusses, and explores the fabulous Italian countryside.

Let’s all celebrate Italy’s history, food, wine, and culture and along with special guests that Rallo visits on his amazing journey. One to mention is a feature on the insights of wine connoisseur Anthony “Tony” Verdoni, also known as ‘Il Professore’ (the professor) in his industry. He will introduce Italy’s most sought-after winemakers and reveal their stories of how they once started and explore their most sought after wines.

Eat! Drink! Italy! is a production by award-winning executive producer Mark Ganguzza, owner of Sunburst Creative Group. Both Vic and Mark are inspiring men who have set out to create something wonderful for viewers. Get excited for summer everyone; it’s time to explore Italy this July!
