With Fall already here and the crisp, cool temperatures approaching, it seems everyone’s beauty regimen could use a little change. As with not wearing the same baby pink lipstick you whipped out for summer, your hair and skin shouldn’t be subject to the same items it was as when it was hot and humid. Here are a few items to stay out of the fall funk.
Beauty Products:
#1: L’oreal Professionnel Mythic Hair Oil (now in travel size!)
As the air gets drier, your hair becomes prone to dryness, as well. Keep your tresses tamed and sleek with this extremely lightweight, nourishing oil. It seems this is the product to keep everyone satisfied, as it works on any hair from color-treated, to coarse and unruly, down to even the finest hair without ever becoming greasy. Perfect for taming those after-beanie flyaways or even just adding a little extra shine! Available at LPSalons.com .
#2 Burt’s Bees Night Cream Radiance w/ Royal Jelly
If there’s one thing I can’t stress enough as the months get colder, it’s to moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! Believe me, your skin will thank you. Skin feeling a little dull lately? Looking for a bit more of that lovely glow? Burt’s Bees has perfected the night cream, using bee pollen and shea butter, along with “one of nature’s most powerful nutrients,” royal jelly. Slather some of this on before going to sleep to diminish the appearance of any fine lines and wrinkles, and increase the appearance of smoother, younger looking skin.
#3 Yardley English Lavender Bath Bar
During the Fall and Winter seasons, things can get pretty hectic, between the fights to get out of bed into the cold, and all the family holiday get-together’s. Luckily, Yardley has just the remedy. Relax and indulge in their English lavender bath bar. Medically proven to lower heart rate and blood pressure, lavender allows your body to go into a relaxed state, and it smells divine too!
Signature Makeup Look:
My favorite look of the fall season is bold eyebrows, clear skin, and seductive dark lips. It’s just as fall as the multicolored foliage!
How to get the look:
1) You want your skin to look as ethereal as possible, so start off with a brightening primer such as Urban Decay’s Brightening & Tightening Complexion Primer Potion.
2) Use a long lasting matte foundation such as Tarte’s 12 hour Amazonian Clay Foundation; starting at the center of the face and blending outward.
3) Fill in and plump up brows with a matching brow powder, and an angled brush. A great kit for this is Anastasia’s Beverly Hills Beauty Express Kit. It comes with awesome brow stencils to decide your shape, and brow wax and powder for a long lasting brow bang.
4) Sweep some finishing powder over face. I recommend Mac’s Blot Powder/Pressed to eliminate any shine.
5) Add a few coats of mascara; you can never go wrong with much raved about Diorshow Mascara in Black Out. (Top lashes only!)
6) The main part of the look is those bold lips! Here’s where my beauty bargain comes in, I live by Revlon’s Super Lustrous Lipstick in Black Cherry. It’s a super rich, deep color, proven to make a statement on the lips. (available in drugstores)
Follow my six simple steps and you’ll be sure to wow the crowd, with this seasonal staple!
