Cinco de Mayo = fiesta time. For some reason, everybody seems to love this holiday. It may be because of the food, it may be because of the culture, but our guess is that it definitely has something to do with the tequila. Whether you are looking to celebrate with a margarita in hand, or something a bit different, we have some outstanding cocktails to get you through the holiday.
Tanqueray White Lady (Courtesy of Tanqueray)
1 oz. Tanqueray No. Ten
0.5 oz. Triple Sec
0.75 oz. Lemon Juice
0.75 oz. Simple Syrup
Shake all ingredients together with ice, strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Milagro Ancho Paloma (Courtesy of Jaime Salas, Milagro Tequila)
1 ½ parts Milagro Reposado
½ part Ancho Reyes
½ part Fresh Lime Juice
3 parts Grapefruit Soda
Using a lime wedge, wet the rim of the glass and salt half of the rim. Add ice, Ancho Reyes, and grapefruit soda. Squeeze a wedge of lime and discard. Garnish with a thin grapefruit wheel.

2 oz Camarena Reposado Tequila
1/2 oz Dry Vermouth
1/2 oz Sweet Vermouth
1/2 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
1/2 oz Italian Amaro
3 oz Ginger Ale
Mint for Garnish
Combine tequila, dry vermouth, sweet vermouth, lemon juice and Italian amaro in a highball glass. Mix well. Fill glass to brim with ice. Top with ginger ale and stir gently with a bar spoon. Garnish with mint.

1.5 ounces of Mezcal
0.75 ounces of Lime Juice
0.5 pieces of Kiwi
6 leaves of Peppermint
2 spoons of Sugar
2 pieces of Raspberries
Basil’rita (Courtesy of STK)
2 oz. Don Julio Tequila
.5 oz. triple sec
Heavy splash of sour
Heavy splash of lime juice
Splash of grapefruit juice
Shake with fresh basil leaves into highball. Garnish with 1 fresh basil leaf (salted rim/guest preference).
Sangria 43 (Courtesy of Licor 43)
1 1.2 oz. Licor 43
1 oz. red wine
1 oz. fresh lemon juice
1 oz. fresh orange juice
1 dash bitters
Shake well and ice into a double old fashioned glass. Garnish with oranges, apple slices and grapes.
Conquistador (Courtesy of Jaime Salas, Milagro Tequila)
1 ½ parts Milagro Reposado
½ part Ancho Reyes
½ part Crème de Cacao
½ part Manzanilla Sherry
1 dash Angostura Orange Bitters
Chill coupe glass with ice and water and set aside. Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass. Add ice and stir until well chilled and diluted. Discard chilling ice from the coupe. Strain ingredients into chilled coupe. Using a vegetable peeler, remove a long piece of orange peel. Express the oil over the cocktail, rub the peel around the rim of the glass, and place atop the cocktail.

2 oz Casa Noble Crystal
1 oz fresh lime juice(or the juice of 1 whole lime)
¾ oz La Sierra agave nectar
Garnish- lime wheel optional kosher salt rim
Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice, shake, strain, serve up or on the rocks. Garnish with a lime wheel. To salt rim- moisten rim of glass with lime, gently roll in a plate of kosher salt.
Yuzu & Lime Margarita (Courtesy of SideBar)
1.5 oz. Tequila (Preferably a 100% Agave “Reposado”)
1.5 oz. Triple Sec
.5 oz. of Yuzu Juice
.5 oz. of Lime Juice
Salt for the rim of the glass
Combine all of the ingredients with cracked ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake for a minute or two (or until the shaker is frosty!) Strain into a glass with Ice…and don’t forget a slice of lime. ENJOY!

5 parts Skinnygirl Margarita
Sliced jalapenos, muddled
Lime wedge for garnish
Salt for rim
Salt the rim of margarita glass. Pour Skinnygirl Margarita over ice and add muddled jalapenos. Garnish with lime wedge and enjoy!

3/4 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
3/4 oz. Mirasol Pepper Infused Reposado Tequila (Don Julio)
3/4 oz. French Cognac (Pierre Ferrand)
.5 oz. Maraschino Liqueur (Luxardo)
.5 oz. Orange Liqueur (Combier)
Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Shake well. Dip half the rim of a rock glass into sea salt. Strain contents over fresh ice, into the glass. Garnish with the dehydrated lime wheels.

1oz. Olmeca Altos tequila
1/2 oz. Cointreau
1/2 oz. Agave
Tsp. ginger
Splash of fresh lime juice
Dip rim in rock salt. Shake and strain into a high ball glass. Garnish with lime or orange.

1 1/2 oz Camarena Silver Tequila
1/2 oz California Sauvignon Blanc
4 Kumquats (or 1 mandarin as substitute)
3 Basil Leaves
3 oz Soda Water
Muddle kumquats and basil in a bucket glass. Add ice, tequila and Sauvignon Blanc. Top with soda water and stir. Garnish with strips of basil and a kumquat.

5 parts Skinnygirl Sweet’arita
Handful of frozen grapes
Sugar or Splenda for rim
Lime garnish (optional)
Coat the rim of a margarita glass with sugar. Pour Skinnygirl Sweet’arita over frozen grapes and garnish with a lime (optional). Salud!

1.5 oz. Casa Noble Reposado
.5 oz. Cointreau
3 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
Splash Fresh Tamarind Puree
Orange pepper rime and Lime for garnish
Shake, strain over fresh ice, and garnish.
Strawbeerita (Courtesy of Licor 43)
3 oz. chilled beer, lighter-style lager
1 oz. Licor 43
1 oz. tequila
1/2 oz. lime juice
3 strawberries
lime
Cut strawberries and a few lime slices and muddle in a shaker. Add tequila, Licor 43, lime juice and ice and shake. Pour mixture into a margarita glass and top with beer. Garnish with a strawberry slice and lime wedge.
