Four Roses Bourbon recently held the Second Charity Cocktail Challenge for the Folded Flag Foundation, which helps families of fallen heroes with educational scholarships, financial hardships, and more through public donations. The beauty of this non-profit organization is that 100% of donations go to families in need, as well as the organization serves to honor the legacy of, and pay tribute to the bravest men and women who have given their lives in defense of this country.
Four Roses Bourbon is full of pear and light fruitiness with gentle honey and spice notes. It’s soft and smooth and great when mixed into cocktails, which was perfect for the competition. Mixologists around NYC joined at The Daisy in the Upper East Side to compete in a challenging, yet rewarding Four Roses cocktail competition. The NYC winner was Gregory J Buda, of the Dead Rabbit. His cocktail, The Last Man Standing consists of:
Last Man Standing– Gregory J Buda
2 oz. Four Roses Yellow Label
2 dashes Dead Rabbit Orinoco Bitters
0.75 oz. Lemon Juice
0.75 oz. Toasted Almond Orgeat
0.5 oz Lemorton Pommeau de Normandie
Be sure to check out the Folded Flag Foundation if you’re interested in donating to this wonderful cause. For those seeking something to sip this summer, try this Last Man Standing cocktail with Four Roses Bourbon!
