It’s no secret that vodka is one of the most popular spirits in the United States. The spirit’s undeniable versatility guarantees that its popularity is only going to continue to soar. As a proud vodka enthusiast, I’m always looking for the latest brands and flavors on the market. But vodka isn’t the only thing I have a keen interest in. I’m not ashamed to admit, I’m also obsessed with anything and everything French. So it’s not very surprising that when I discovered French-produced Vodka Mariette, I wanted to know everything! While France is more famously known for its elegant wine, the country is not new to producing spirits. Vodka Mariette may not be the first French vodka on the market, but they’re the latest brand turning heads in the states.
Mariette translates to “little rebel” in French, but you don’t have to identify as one to enjoy the smooth spirit. (Although it couldn’t hurt, either!) Produced in Bordeaux—one of France’s most elite wine making regions, Vodka Mariette is truly a one-of-a-kind vodka and definitely sparks the rebel within. Distilled five times, it’s incredibly smooth on the palate with a clean finish. It’s crafted with the finest French, GMO-free whole wheat and unique water from the Ambes Spring. “We created Vodka Mariette several years ago and saw in our distribution across several states that drinkers were often deprived of a memorable and reliable brand experience.” founder, Josh Winzelberg, stated. Winzelberg believes vodka enthusiasts will love the brand, and he’s not wrong. I was totally impressed with its crisp, yet smooth taste in both my dirty martinis and vodka cranberries.
Rebellious even in its packaging, Vodka Mariette comes bottled in sleek, hand-made carafes, and offers an all natural ‘Vanilla & Coconut’ flavor, as well. Okay, don’t laugh, but when I’m enjoying a glass of wine, sometimes I like to imagine I’m sitting in a chic French cafe. (I can’t be the only one who does this, right?!) Now with Vodka Mariette, I can do the same enjoying my favorite vodka cocktail.
