Summer Fridays seem to be the longest days of the week. Even though most of us get to leave the office early, the day drags on and on. The boss nags. The clock ticks. And you just can’t get a break. Introducing the best thing to happen to your lunch hour since Seamless, last week Absolut launched Absolut Lunch Break. Rolling out in five cities nationwide, including New York City, the hour long event brings frustrated workers together to blow off some steam…and grab a free lunch. From 12:30-1:30pm, Flavorpill will host Friday dance parties around the city. All they ask is that you bring a couple bucks to donate to Food Bank for New York City. No brainer! Last week’s kickoff event was held at Marquee, with Questlove DJing the party, but each week’s party will be held at a different, secret location.
You might be confused upon arrival, when you suddenly see a dark club with flashing lights, blaring music, and tons of other business people dancing like it’s 4am. All guests will receive one drink ticket to have an Absolut cocktail — but don’t expect to bribe the bartender for an extra glass…we can’t have you party animals going back to work tipsy. On your way out, grab your packed lunch and go back to the office feeling refreshed and ready to take on the rest of the day!
