This awkward time of year in between Christmas and New Year’s Eve can leave people wondering what to do if they aren’t in the office. Plus, many adults are left wondering whether to forge on with the holiday spirit or get back to business as usual. We opt for the former! Why not milk the holidays for all their worth?!
We recently spent a fun Girls’ Night In with Poppy Handcrafted Popcorn. This brand churns out flavor after incredible flavor of handcrafted premium popcorn and certainly made for a wonderful and festive treat over the holidays. Not your typical popcorn, Poppy’s flavors range from the typical white cheddar, olive oil & rosemary and salted caramel, to the more inventive like Thai spice, cotton candy and chocolate peanut butter. But aside from their large range of year-round flavors, they also have some kick-ass seasonal flavors that we couldn’t get enough of.
Reindeer Crunch, Chapel Hill Toffee, Chocolate Peppermint Bark and Gingerbread are all seasonal flavors that you can only get your hands on until the last day of December. (Hurry up if you want to purchase them!) We were lucky enough to try a sampling of both their yearlong staples and some of their seasonal picks. Their Poppy Mix, a sweet mix of salted caramel, white cheddar and jalapeño cheddar popcorn, is one of their classic flavors, and seems to be the fastest disappearing bag in my house. It’s combination of sweet and salty flavors, along with some spice make it a great party snack. We also tried the seasonal Reindeer Crunch, which contains dark chocolate caramel popcorn and nuts, perfect for any chocolate-loving friend. Last, we tried Poppy’s Gingerbread popcorn, which smells just like your favorite holiday pasttime and contains gingerbread popcorn, white chocolate and almonds. (This one was our personal fave.) Each flavor is different and delicious, and with all of their different flavors, both sweet and savory, there’s a combination out there for everyone.
Plus, Poppy Handcrafted Popcorn uses non-GMO popcorn and corn syrup and uses no artificial flavors or colors and many of their flavors are also gluten-free. You can check out what stores in your area carry Poppy here or order it online! How are you spendings your holidays??
