Not all Girls’ Nights In have to be spent with your girlfriends. This month I needed some alone time so I hunkered down with some wine and dinner on my own. With a very busy schedule, I find it very important to make sure to schedule in time just for myself. And this month, there seemed like no better solution than to enjoy a bottle of wine to my face and some delish pasta dinner.
Before I even moved to the city, I’ve enjoyed Bertolli‘s frozen pastas. They are so easy and quick to make, it’s a rare occasion that I don’t have one stashed in my freezer. Since living in NYC, my freezer space has severely shrunk and my time to cook is limited, so having something quick and easy to make can definitely be a life saver at times. This particular evening I whipped up Bertolli’s Chicken Alla Vodka & Farfalle, which was a great meal, especially when accompanied by a refreshing glass (or three) of rosé.
We paired our pasta alla vodka with Chateau d’Esclans new 2015 vintage of Whispering Angel, a refreshing, crisp blush rosé. The affordable new vintage clocks in at just $22 and boasts red berry and floral notes, with a beautiful pinky peach color. It’s super refreshing, making it perfect to sip on during the warmer months, and goes great with the vodka sauce in the pasta. All that I needed to round out the night was something good to watch, and I did just that — catching up on all my favorite TV shows!
