Since I am always trying new foods and drinks, and I have the best gal pals a girl could ask for, I’ve decided to start hosting a monthly Girls’ Night In with my closest friends. That way, I can share with them all the goodies I receive and get their opinions on different products. We started off with a bang for Sunday night’s biggest event…the Superbowl! Thanks to the wonderful service that Verizon FiOS provides, we were able to cozy up around the big screen and get uninterrupted access to the game, the halftime show, and of course, all the goofy commercials. Now, of course, it was more than just a girls’ night in, since there were plenty of guys there, too. But, in addition to all of the football-watching staples, I got to make some delicious pies for my friends. And when I say pies, I mean pizza pies.
Rustic Crust is a company that makes all-natural and organic pizza crusts and sauces, which come in different styles and flavors. They were kind enough to send over three different crusts for me to try and I loved how easy it was to make them for me and my friends. The best part about these crusts is that they come pre-made, so all you have to do is slap on some of their sauce, toppings of your choosing, and stick it in the oven. After about 12 minutes, you’ve got a delicious, homemade pizza!
Here’s what we whipped up for Superbowl:
- Sea Salt Basil Ciabatta Flatbread pizza with marinara sauce, mozzarella and caramelized onions
- Cheesy Herb pizza with marinara sauce, mozzarella and assorted vegetables
- Italian Herb pizza with marinara sauce, mozzarella and sharp cheddar cheeses
What helped to make this so easy was that their sauce, which comes in packs of three, contains just the right amount of sauce per pie, so you never have to measure anything out or fear for drowning your pizza in too much sauce. Best of all, everyone loved the pizzas! They were downed the second they came out of the oven and everyone complimented me on them. (Go me!)
Then, we went on enjoying watching the Broncos win with cheesy slices in our hands.
