Renowned fashion designer Bob Mackie is notorious for his extraordinary embellishments, attention to detail, and use of color. He has dressed many stars including Carol Burnett, Pink, and Cher. Last week, Bob Mackie pleased his fans with the launch of his new Bob Mackie Notebook Collection, along with giving one lucky fan the chance to win an original, vintage Mackie dress from his first collection ever in 1982. To kick off the #GiveMetAMackie Instagram contest, legendary vintage store Screaming Mimi’s, along with Sammy Davis Vintage, hosted a number of fashionistas vying for a chance to win the beautiful gown, on display in their store window, while showcasing Mackie’s new notebooks. The notebooks featured costume sketches of 1920’s evening designs for the ‘play within the play’ in the 1995 Broadway comedy, ‘Moon Over Buffalo,” starring Carol Burnett. During the event, guests enjoyed ogling at the fun vintage wear at Screaming Mimi’s, while enjoying Butterlane Cupcakes and Chateu de Berne.
