Tomorrow, April 22nd, marks this year’s Earth Day. The annual holiday, which is celebrated in over 192 countries each year, supports environmental protection through events, specials and deals all day long. If getting your hands dirty doesn’t appeal to you, we suggest trying something a little more tasteful than digging in the dirt to celebrate Earth Day this year. Brooklyn-based company Sweetly Nude, celebrates healthy eating with vegan, raw, gluten, dairy and refined sugar-free desserts. Owner and visionary Sunny Zannini works to create stunningly beautiful and equally delicious treats that not only satisfy that sweet tooth, but are also good for you (and for the environment — no baking required!).

Utilizing some of the best superfoods, Sweetly Nude’s treats remain raw so that all of the nutrients, enzymes and vitamins remain intact and are able to rid your body of harmful toxins. Baking and cooking can often take away many of these valuable properties. Some of their current offerings include Raw Apple Pie, Raw Pumpkin Cheesecake, Chai Fudge, Rosemary Goji Berry Brownies and more. Sweetly Nude’s desserts are featured at AP Café in Brooklyn and they are currently offering a special Earth Day dessert — Lemon Chocolate Lavender Beetroot Cake. It sure is a mouthful to say and it’s definitely something you are going to want to get a mouthful of. The healthy dessert contains cashews, almonds, beets, coconut, coconut oil, dates, cacao, lemon, ginger and lavender. The combination of these ingredients help to boost libido, detoxify the liver and aid digestion.
In addition to heading to AP Café and ordering online, Sweetly Nude can be found at various spots throughout the city. They have recently had booths and catered events at spots such as Brooklyn Night Bazaar, Dune Studios and have even catered for former Housewife of NYC, Aviva Drescher.
Don’t miss out on enjoying the finer things in life…grab a treat from Sweetly Nude and see how sweet life can truly be.
