Last week marked the opening of a brand new Irish pub, honoring Grace O’Malley, Ireland’s heroic 16th century ‘pirate queen.’ The pub, aptly named GRACE, has a one of a kind cocktail menu, created by an all-female team of notable bartenders, including Eryn Reece, Franky Marshall, Ivy Mix, Jane Danger, Jane Elkins, Lucinda Sterling, Lynnette Marrero, Meaghan Dorman and Pamela Wiznitzer. The unique menu incorporates popular spirits during the Elizabethan era in the British Isles, such as gin, whiskey, rum, cognac and more. In addition to its signature cocktails, Grace features craft beer, wine, and wide array of Irish whiskey.
Chef Ryan Schmidtberger (Lure Fishbar) created the pub’s menu and offers signature dishes that pay homage to Grace’s maritime and terrestrial realms. The kitchen will be open from 4:30pm-3:30am, with lunch and brunch service to come in the future. What can you expect to find on this mouthwatering menu? Fried oyster sliders, Deviled Eggs & Pancetta, Burgers, and of course, a full raw bar.
GRACE is owned and operated by Peter Poulakakos, Michael Jewell, Danny McDonald and Rory Connellan, who have created numerous iconic bars in Manhattan over the years. The bar is full of life and decorated wonderfully — appealing to both men and women. We fell in love with this new watering hole during the opening and can’t wait to make it one of our regular spots.
GRACE is located at 365 3rd Avenue.
