Haus, located on 285 Broadway, is a new nightclub at the intersection of Soho and Tribeca that just opened on June 27th, 2014. Located in the historic 100-year old Brunner Building that once housed the Canal Room, it is a 5,300 square foot space that features hand-crafted wood doors. I was given the opportunity to attend a private preview of Haus last week, to check out the nightclub and I was impressed with what I saw.
The location of the nightclub is perfect because it is located on the corner of Canal. The drinks were good and got even better as the night went on. As soon as I entered the nightclub the first thing that I fell in love with is the space and how everything is set up. The space is an atrium and is heavily and beautifully decorated with peacock-blue velvet drapes. On the right side of the nightclub you will see the 34-foot long bar and to the left in the middle of the club you have the DJ booth where Chelsea Leyland was spinning tunes. The venue is 3-tiered with the VIP section being the top tier. The VIP section allows you to experience the music perfectly. The lounges are candle-lit and feature comfortable seating.
The light bites, which included small tacos, sushi rolls, and popcorn were amazing and were provided by Vitellas NYC; mixologist Rael Petit was in also in the house preparing drinks. Music was pumping the whole night. Personally, the only thing that would have made it even better for me if there were a few Hip Hop tunes dropped in here and there.
Overall I would definitely like to go back to hang out after work or to celebrate my birthday in the future. I love the atmosphere, the staff is very courteous, and the drinks are amazing. If you have not checked out Haus yet then you should head on over.
Haus opens nightly at 5 PM (Monday to Wednesday till 2 AM; Thursday to Sunday till 4 AM). On Fridays after midnight Haus will feature an international lineup of top DJs brought by Creative Director Isaac Elbhar. You can also visit their website for more information by going to www.haus-nyc.com.
