Welcome to working from home! It’s something I’ve been doing for roughly eight years, so I’m no stranger to spending my days in one place. Luckily, that means I have tried many, many things over the years to perfect the art that is working from home. Here, I’ve laid out my tried and true products that will ensure a good working environment for the weeks and months to come.
Planner: Sure, things aren’t exactly going according to plan these days, but that doesn’t mean you don’t need to keep track of what you do have going on. Keeping things organized during this chaotic time is one thing that will not only help to keep you on track, but also help you feel like things are semi-normal.
Facial mist:I don’t know about you, but for some reason my skin has not been liking quarantine. I think it misses the sun! I’ve been making sure to keep my skin super hydrated during this time and so I keep a facial mist spray on my desk as a reminder to spritz throughout the day! These are the two I’ve been using:
Desk:Yeah, yeah, duh. We all need someplace to work and desks can be expensive. Luckily, we’ve done the dirty work for you and found some beautiful and cheap desks you can purchase for your home office.
Mugs: Every worker bee needs some fuel to sustain them throughout the day. Whether yours comes in the form of coffee, tea, hot chocolate or something else altogether (hey, we don’t judge), you need the perfect mug to set down at your desk. Here are some of our favorites!
Desk Organizer: Don’t let your workspace become cluttered and messy. A clear desk = a clear mind.
Candles: My favorite candle company, Jarworthy, has an endless amount of fragrances to choose from, including Namastay At Home For You. A portion of the proceeds from sales from this candle will be used to purchase food for Putnam CAP Food Pantry. Other relaxing scents include Spa Day, White Tea, and Flower Shoppe.
Blankets: When it gets a little chilly inside or you just need something to snuggle up with, a cozy blanket is a necessity. Whether you opt for a trendy weighted blanket, a chunky knit blanket or just something nice and fuzzy, we’ve got a bunch of options!
Water Bottle: It’s super important to stay hydrated throughout the day. Avana water bottles are a total game changer. Since discovering them a couple years ago, I haven’t used any other water bottle since. Their easy sipping spout makes it so easy to drink from, plus it’s machine wash safe.
Artwork: Any home office needs some art to spice it up. I recently launched some art prints of my travel photography over the years. Head to my shop on Society6 to check it out — a good view is just what we need right now.
Bookshelves: Stack up some of your favorite reads nearby and organize all of your office necessities in a sleek, stylish way. Here are some of our favorite, affordable bookshelves to add to your home office.
Desktop Style:Yeah, so we’ve made it through all of the necessities for your home office, but adding some flair is just as important. Since we’re stuck at home, it’s important to add some fun to your workspace by personalizing it to you. Here’s some ideas:
