Hot ‘n’ Spicy Cinco de Mayo Specials

Bienvendio, Cinco de Mayo! We meet again. And this year we will be prepared. Rather than wandering about the city looking for any old bar to do tequila shots in, prep accordingly and check out these amazing parties, deals, and deliveries that will be sure to have you screaming ‘más, más, más!’

Brother Jimmy’s never disappoints when it comes to a drinking holiday and with Cinco de Mayo right around the corner you can be sure that they will be bringing it again. All Brother Jimmy locations will feature half off nachos and quesadillas, as well as $20 Corona buckets and $40 margarita towers all day long. Additionally, those who head to their Lexington and Union Square locations are in for an extra treat. Brother Jimmy’s super awesome $30 Cinco de Mayo Special includes your choice of four tacos (choose between pulled pork, pulled chicken, popcorn shrimp and brisket) and all you can drink margaritas or Bud/Bud Light drafts for two hours. Ay carumba!

On Sunday May 5th, both Windsor locations will be having a fun fiesta to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. At both bars, guests can sip on a selection of tasty margaritas, such as the Spicy Cucumber Margarita, Prickly Pear Margarita, or Mango Margarita for just $12. Those looking for a really good time can try their tequila shot flight for $36. In addition to the handful of drinks they will be serving, both Windsor locations will also serve a variety of Mexican cuisine, including a selection of tacos, nachos, and even churros.

Jay-Z’s The 40/40 Club is pulling out all the stops for Cinco de Mayo this year. For this festive holiday, guests can nosh on delicious Mexican cuisine such as flame grilled tequila chicken breast, served with hot corn and jalapeno salsa, black beans and rice for $24. Not to mention, they’ve got a selection of flavored Jose Cuervo margaritas, including passion fruit, peach, mango, and strawberry.

Richard Sandoval eateries will be celebrating the holiday in great tradition. Maya will be serving a $35 bottomless margarita brunch from 10:30am until 3pm, as well as a $55 three course pre fixe dinner beginning at 5pm. Pampano, located in Midtown East, will feature a $50 pre fixe dinner with a $75 tequila or wine pairing option all weekend long. Pampano Botaneria will also have an all night happy hour from 5pm until close with $6 cocktails and wines and $4 beers. Zengo brings up the rear with a $40 three course pre fixe dinner, with the option of wine pairings at each course for an additional $15.

iAdventure.com is also pairing up with Hudson Terrace for the second annual Mex Fest. Madria Sangria will be serving sangria and Mowie Wowie will be serving tropical fruit smoothies, while guests can partake in a jalapeno eating contest and fun games. There will be a live DJ, plenty of tequila shots and some of the best food trucks around, including Morris Grilled Cheese Truck, Nuchas, Takumi Taco and more. Even though these are some great options for Cinco de Mayo, some people prefer celebrating in the comfort of their own home.
