Exercise can be a real bore. If you work out on your own and do the same monotonous routine day after day it’s time to switch it up. Bradford Method, founded by Shonda Bradford, has locations in the Hamptons and Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Shonda is a former ballerina with over 15 years of fitness training experience.
We recently checked out her Trampoline Barre class, which is 55 minutes of trampoline work, incorporating ballet for sculpting dancer muscles, cardio to sweat and burn major calories and a lot of stretching. This class was fierce. Definitely created for women, this class really makes you sweat. Although it is cardio-based, there is a lot of pilates-type work involved and anyone taking it will surely get those killer legs they’ve always wanted.
However, the Trampoline Barre isn’t the only class offered at Bradford Method. Clients can also benefit from the Pilates Trio class, which is a 60 minute pilates cross-training class, where you can experience the benefits of the Classic Pilates Reformers, as well as Tower Unit in a small group setting. Also available is the Pilates Tower class, which utilizes the Pilates Wall Unit, which is designed to provide users with an overall body workout that strengthens, stretches and defines all muscle groups. All of the classes offered at Bradford Method are very small and semi-private at the UES location. Additional information can be found and sessions booked at their website.
Bradford Method is located at 1080 Park Avenue in Manhattan & 58 Gingerbread Lane in East Hampton.
