Just a short drive from the hustle and bustle of Manhattan is the quaint village of Huntington on Long Island. Located in the heart of the town is Main Street, home to a plethora of restaurants, but one stands out among the rest. Imperial Meat Company (IMC) has been open since October and has become a fresh and vibrant dining choice.
As people step through the doors of IMC, the Swarovski chandeliers, multiple fireplaces, artwork and lighting throughout the restaurant mesmerize them, creating a tranquil, yet trendy environment. While patrons are taken to their butcher-block style table, they will find a few surprises within the hard wood floors, including alcoves holding wine bottles!
IMC offers specialty dishes that tantalize the taste buds and are rarely seen on Long Island. Executive Chef Alex Tchernikov, from Manhattan’s top hotspots including TAO, designed the extensive menu. “I’ve done so many dishes in my career,” he said. “I wanted to create something that would make people say ‘wow.’”
“One of my favorite things to eat is very simple,” Tchernikov said. “The lobster mac and cheese is delicious with the truffles and melted gouda.” Other must-have starters are the oven roasted pepperoni chips with mustard dipping sauce and the Truffle Burrata. Mixed with red and golden beets with black Hawaiian sea salt and chives, the dish is great salad choice.
Foodies will salivate over the Stuffed Quail, which is foie gras with risotto stuffing and the Wagyu beef. Known as the American version of Kobe beef, Wagyu is highly prized for its intense flavor.
With one glance of the cocktail menu, the drinks are just a tasty as the entrees. Whether vodka or tequila is your alcohol of choice, IMC has the perfect mixes. Their signature drink, the IMC Passion, has ginger-infused vodka with passion fruit puree, pineapple and cranberry juice. With just one sip, your passions for IMC will be fueled and you will want to see what other delicious drinks are served.
From the food to the drinks, IMC will make a night on Long Island unforgettable. The only question people will ask themselves is“why haven’t we been here sooner?”
