Located on 45th Street and 8th Avenue is a little wine bar where the regulars come for the happy hour and extensive small bite menu. L’Ybane wine bar takes quality Mediterranean cuisine and intertwines it with a romantic atmosphere to bring you one very enjoyable restaurant. L’Ybane has a location in Nice, France, but thankfully decided to open this location right in the big apple!
So what about this happy hour? It’s jaw dropping for its location, with generous pours of $5 Sparkling, White, Red, and Rose glasses of wine, $5 Sangria, $7 Cosmos, Appletinis, and Martinis, along with a selection of small bites at $6.95 per plate–the possibilities are endless. Happy Hour is from 4-7pm and is always a good time with friends or even alone. You can thank the wonderful staff and bartenders for your experience and one bartender to mention in particular is Ruth, who has been there a long time and makes your visit at the bar fly by way too fast with her witty stories, mean cosmos, and wonderful demeanor.
For those of you who are looking for bigger bites, L’Ybane has an awesome menu filled with juicy burgers and garlic aioli, seafood pastas, and the ultimate truffle macaroni and cheese. For a more romantic dinner they also have nice steaks and sides and of course, we can’t forget a broad wine list featuring many wines from all of the greatest regions. Glasses are reasonably priced, ranging from $7-12 and bottles starting at $25 and ranging to over $100.
If you’re in the area, check out L’Ybane for the happy hour and stay for some small bites or the Goat Cheese Salad! The Happy Hour Malbec is great for the price if you’re a Malbec fan, but if you’re more of a Sangria lover, they serve both red and white! With cheese plates, tampenade, and all you can eat mussels (on certain days), you can not resist trying this unique dining destination.
