Massage Envy Spa will be opening a new location in the next week or so in Midtown West, just a few blocks away from Times Square. The opening of this location marks Massage Envy’s first New York City spa. I had the pleasure of experiencing some of the services that they offer, as well as a tour of the spa.
The spa is very spacious and has various rooms for Massage Services, Enhanced Therapies, and Murad Facial Services. The front of the spa has a waiting area for guests but if you don’t want to wait in the front you can go to the back and enter the relaxation room. The Relaxation Room gives guests a chance to relax before a service or if they need a few minutes before another service. The room is very intimate, and while it may be small, the atmosphere is very relaxing. The electrical fireplace below the TV gives it a very familial and warming feeling.
Some of the Massage Services offered include a Swedish massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Cranial Sacral Therapy, and a Hot Stone Envy, among many others. If you need Enhanced Therapies you have the option of having a Deep Muscle Therapy, a Sugar foot scrub therapy, and Aromatherapy. At Massage Envy Spa, they offer four main Facial services and they all use the Murad skin care line; the Environmental Shield Vitamin C Infusion, the Anti-Aging, the Sensitive Skin, and the Clarifying Enzyme Acne Facial are all available.Seeing as how I had a mini facial done during my visit to the spa, I would highly recommend everyone to definitely try out the facial. The Murad Skin Care line has such a heavenly smell and the esthetician doing your facial is very nice and informative about your skin. The service that was the most informative was the Skin Scope Analysis because I was able to tell how healthy my skin is. You can see the spots where you have sun damage or where your skin is not hydrated enough. If you become a member, you have a lot of benefits that include one massage or facial of any kind per month that lasts an hour, additional massages discounted rates, and guest pass opportunities, as well as many other benefits. The memberships range from $49.99 to $79.99 per month.
So if you are planning on stopping by and checking out the spa I highly recommend you check out the Skin Scope Analysis, get a facial done by the talented estheticians working there, and finish it off by getting a massage.
