Fashion week in New York is never complete without Nolcha Fashion Week. This season Nolcha Fashion Week exceeded our expectations. The presenting sponsor, RUSK, was joined by official sponsors: Smartwater, DonQ Rum, Air Europa, Defiant Whisky, Medical Aesthetics, Ono E-Cigs, Skinny Girl Sparklers, and Fashionmonitor.com.
I attended the final show of the evening which featured five designers returning to Nolcha Fashion Week: Jungwon (designer men’s and women’s rain coats and outerwear, featuring footwear provided by Cat Footwear), Gabrielle Arruda (women’s ready-to-wear), L. Catherine London (women’s ready-to-wear), Nina Athanasiou (women’s and men’s couture), and Dany Tabet (evening wear).
Jungwon’s outerwear collection boasted both neutrals and soft textures. Gabrielle Arruda’s wowed us with flirty silhouettes and intricate textures. But I was most excited about Dany Tabet’s stunning collection. The dresses were soft and feminine with just the right amount of edge.
