Good news for all the carnivores in the city! A sister restaurant to the well-known Morton’s The Steakhouse has just opened in New York City’s Gramercy. The more casual and affordable Morton’s Grille will have a casual, yet sophisticated atmosphere, as well as some of the signature steakhouse items customers have come to love, in addition to new favorites.
While classic items such as center-cut filet mignon, ribeye and double cut pork chops will be available, other more playful items will adorn the menu, as well. Dishes such as shrimp and grits, buffalo chicken meatballs and braised beef short rib tacos will definitely cater to New York City’s hungry. The new hot spot will also serve brunch on the weekends from 11:30am until 3pm, which will allow diners to enjoy the ultimate mimosa — a magnum of champagne served tableside along with flavor combinations like orange juice, raspberry puree, fresh blueberries and more, for just $35. Brunch entrees include an array of tasty items, including brioche French toast, lobster benedict and steak and eggs.
Additionally, Morton’s Grille will host both happy hour and reverse happy hour in their bar area Monday-Friday from 3-6:30pm and 9pm until closing, as well as on Sunday from 4-10pm. Their happy hour menu not only includes drinks, but select bar bites, as well. Morton’s Grille will also feature live entertainment at the bar every evening from Wednesday through Saturday.
If the Morton’s Grille opening fete was any indication of its success in the city, we have a feeling it will be around for a long, long time.
Morton’s Grille is located at 233 Park Avenue South.
