New York City, like many cities in the United States have wonderful breakfast, brunch, and dinner menu’s to celebrate mom. What’s going on this Mother’s day, you ask? Well here are some fantastic things going on right in NYC that will have you and your mom out and about for a wonderful meal.
Ilili Restaurant on Fifth Avenue is celebrating moms with a special Apricot Cake created by Chef Philippe Massoud, which honors his mother who fueled his passion for baking. His mother was his “cheering squad” when it came to baking and because of that, it will be featured on the menu. Mom’s will also receive a complimentary St-Germain Champagne Cocktail and an herb plant to take home, as well as a coloring station in the lounge so mom can have a few hours to relax and enjoy the mouth watering menu. The menu will feature the usual a la carte brunch, supplemented with items such as Olive Crusted Lamb Loin, Wild Spring Salmon, Soft Shell Crab, and Hummus & Ramps!
In the mood for Tapas? Treat mom to a Spanish-inspired Mother’s Day meal at Andanada, where you will enjoy fresh, traditional tapas along with some other wonderful dishes by Chef Manuel Berganza, an alumnus of Michelin-starred restaurants in Spain! They will be featuring a three-course pre-fixe menu for $25.00 per person. Menu items include Brussels Sprouts with Smoked Salmon and Anise, Cod Fritters, Roasted Quail with Wild Spring Mushrooms, and a Seafood Risotto. As if you’re not already drooling over the appetizer and entrée courses, for dessert, you can have flan, homemade crepes with sautéed bananas and honey, or white chocolate mousse with saffron and strawberries. Boulud Restaurants are welcoming mothers to many locations with wonderful specials for Brunch and Dinner:
- Boulud Sud at 20 West 64th street will be featuring a 3- course brunch special from 11AM-3PM and an a la carte dinner from 5PM-10PM. This sidewalk café has an eclectic Mediterranean menu and a wonderful wine list sure to please any mother’s palate.
- Bar Boulud on Broadway and 64th Street has a pre-theater brunch with four courses of some fine French Cuisine for only $39.00 per person.
- Café Boulud on the Upper East Side, on 76th Street, is a dining destination with Chef Gavin Kaysen’s spring menu featuring many dishes for a three course menu or a la carte options.
- For a more traditional brunch and a fun hang out, DBGB Kitchen and Bar at 299 Bowery, will have a three course brunch and dinner menu where mom can enjoy favorites like Brioche French Toast, Eggs Florentine, and Scottish Salmon with Creamy Risotto.
