Yoga under stars? You can get your flex on at Yo Yoga!‘s Midtown studio both indoors and outside on their enchanting rooftop under the stars. Founded by Rebecca Weible, the studio hosts classes, workshops and events outdoors on their private rooftop whenever the weather is 68 degrees or warmer.
Last week, we spent our evening at the outdoor rooftop studio, where we fell in love with the surrounding red brick buildings, twinkling, strung lights, and chirping birds that accompanied our zen state of mind. The studio specializes in restorative yoga, with plenty of different class options to choose from, including: Open, Basic, YinYangYo (a Yo Yoga original), Stretch & Restore, Power Yoga, Candle Lit Yin/Restorative Yoga, Sound Off Class, and Prenatal Yoga.
While the indoor studio is minimal and quaint, the outdoor rooftop was the ultimate spot to relax. And while many other places in the city rent rooftop space for outdoor yoga events, Yo Yoga is the only spot that has its own private rooftop. Outdoor yoga is so much more refreshing than practicing your zen inside and when the weather is nice, it’s a treat.
