Grecian hot spot Nerai celebrated its coveted Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence last night in Midtown Manhattan. The popular restaurant offers wines from all major wine-growing regions around the world, as well as smaller, family-owned boutique wineries in Greece. All of the wines they offer are carefully selected by Wine Director and General Manager Michael Coll, with options ranging from $55 to $2,000 a bottle. The restaurant‘s wine cellar can hold up to 4,000 bottles of wine, giving customers a wide array of selections to pair with their meals.

During the celebration party, Coll, along with owner Spiro Menegatos, hosted friends, family and media to try out some of the wines from their collection, including DNS Wines, Skurnik Wine, Eklektikon and more. Paired with traditional Greek bites like meatballs, spanikopita and octopus crostinis, guests really were able to see how the wines paired with the dishes. Cheers!
