It seems like there is a food or drink holiday every day, but how do you really celebrate the day? Enter Rémy Martin, one of the leading cognac brands in the world. So when National Cognac Day comes around, it is no surprise that they know how to celebrate.
The all day celebration began with Rémy Martin taking to the streets with a fleet of sidecars. Paying homage to the classic Rémy Martin Sidecar Cocktail, the bikes were seen zipping around the city from Flatiron to the Bowery and beyond. New Yorkers might have even caught Orange Is The New Black actress Jackie Cruz riding shotgun with her favorite spirits brand. Once the sun set, the sidecars ended their Manhattan excursion at the Bowery’s latest hotspot, Vandal.
Taking over the lounge at Vandal, Rémy Martin brought the crowd for a high energy and fun filled night of drinking, food and live musical performances. While people enjoyed passed food, the cognac cocktails were flowing all night. Besides the traditional Sidecar, partygoers indulge in the Royal Sazerac, V.S.O.P. & Ginger, and the French Lemonade.
DJ Chelsea Leyland kept the energy high as guests danced the night away. Continuing the fun was the Neo-soul duo Lion Babe, who rocked the party with a live performance. Lead singer Jillian Hervey mesmerized the crowd with her soulful tunes, lion mane & svelte legs she showed off in a hip-high slit dress.
The event not only attracted cognac lovers, but model Tyson Beckford, former Real Housewives of New York star Kelly Bensimon, Laz Alonso, Donna D’Cruz, and male model Andrea Denver.
Whether people enjoy cognac or not, as people left they realized they had a new appreciation for Rémy Martin and National Cognac Day.
