We recently discovered a wonderful new line of skincare products from Pili Ani Skincare. They currently offer moisturizers, serum and hydrating oil, all of which utilize pili, a relatively unknown nut that comes from the pili tree native to the Philippines. The skincare line extracts pili oils from the bark and pulp of the tree and gives your skin a gorgeous glow thanks to its natural antioxidants, fatty acid and vitamins.
So, more about pili. It is high in magnesium and Vitamin E, which helps to reduce inflammation, combat free radicals, and helps to maintain moisture in the skin. The additional vitamins and nutrients in pili are numerous, helping to combat dry skin and premature aging.
The brand also utilizes elemi oil, which is also derived from a tree found in the Philippines, and acts as both an antiseptic and antimicrobial agent. This means that it helps to boost new cell development and also helps to heal cuts and bruises. It also contains properties to help to tone and firm your skin, giving you a more glowing, youthful appearance.
This winter weather has been fluctuating so much and it’s been wreaking havoc on my skin. It’s been dryer than usual and Pili Ani has come to the rescue right in time. Their moisturizers — Intense Hydrating Facial Cream, Youthful Glow Facial Cream, and Natural Radiance Facial Moisturizer Cream — appear to be thick at first, but once applied you can see how lightweight the creams are and really absorb into your skin. Their Beauty Elixir Facial Milk Serum has been my go-to after washing my face to wear under my makeup. It creates a soft and dewy base for my make-up and keeps my skin super soft. They also have Intense Hydrating Facial Oil, which I didn’t have the chance to try, but wish I did! The rest of their skincare line is very absorbent and light, and gives you a lot of moisture without clogging your pores.
You can score Pili Ani products on their website. Their products range from $110-$135 and come in the most chic packaging that will look great on your bathroom counter or bedside table.
