Rihanna’s newest collaboration, Fenty x Puma, is an homage to the duality of her personality: luxury meets bad ass. RiRi takes the concept of athleisure to a whole new level, emphasizing the dark undertones reminiscent of her music. The overwhelming quantity of black in the collection prompted Rihanna to describe the line as “If the Addams Family went to the gym, this is what they would wear.”
She went on to explain that her designs and her music are drawn from emotion and attitude, both of which the Barbados native has in spades. Part goth, part 90’s grunge, part work-out apparel, this collection explores different facets of Rihanna’s personality in a way that feels simultaneously genuine and spunky.
At the Bergdorf Goodman FentyxPuma pop up shop, RiRi showed up earlier this month draped in her own wares, showing both supermodels and normies alike how best to pair her boundary pushing clothing line. White leather thigh highs are accented by track pants unbuttoned all the way up, exposing the top of the boot. She pairs it with a bell-sleeved crop top, all in the line’s signature palette – bold black and white. We can’t wait to see what RiRi rolls out next, as her creativity ebbs and flows to consistent produce art wherever she can.
