One of the biggest gifts someone can give to an individual is a caring home, education and a bright future. There are numerous foundations that tackle these causes, but one that has gained attention from many celebrities is the Many Hopes Foundation. Aiming to raise a generation of children who will lead with justice and defeat extreme poverty in Kenya, Many Hopes provides loving and caring homes for boys and girls.
Supermodel Jessica Stam and actor Zachary Levi understand the foundation’s mission and hosted their annual gala at the Angel Orensanz Center in SoHo. As guests descended upon the historical location, there were an endless list of celebrities that came to support Many Hopes. Some of the attendees included Jenna Ushkowitz from Glee, Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo and Real Housewife Nicole Napolitano.
The fun filled night began with passed food and drinks while people started to mingle and see what was being auctioned off. Guest were stunned with a breathtaking lightshow that took over the inside of the center, which depicted images of hope and growth. Throughout the evening, Levi and Alice Callahan emceed the event, and gave attendees a good laugh with their conversational double act.
From the dancing to drinking and just having a good time, the event came to an high energy ending with the help of Callahan. As the auctions were coming to an end, she jumped on stage and shared her experiences visiting Kenya with the Many Hopes Foundation, which sparked generous donations that reached their goal.
In total an astounding $400,000 was raised during the 4th annual gala, which goes directly to improving the lives of 50 children in Kenya. Even though the party at Angel Orensanz Center came to an end, the after party rocked No. 8 until the early morning hours, but the mission of Many Hopes was felt throughout the whole night.
