Calling all wine lovers: The Duel of Wine, a film about a sommelier who loses his palate and seeks to challenge sommeliers all over the world to get back his palate and his reputation. This independent film is directed by Nicolás Carreras and produced by Lino Pujia. Starring Vinitaly’s Wine Communicator of the Year, Charlie Arturaola, the film held their exclusive wrap party last week at Capitale.
For people who showed up early, they were able to be extras in the movie, which was a fun and exciting experience. This really opened your eyes to the long and grueling retake, after retake movie making experience, but overall it was a very pleasant evening, where guests were able to shmooze with some world-renowned winemakers, such as Marco Caprai and more.
The food at Capitale is always delicious and they served a selection of Lamb Chops, Mushroom Orzo, Chips and Salsa, and some light bites. The wines were Italian (of course) and expressive of the best Italy has to offer.
Be sure to keep an eye out for The Duel Of Wine, as this independent film is perfect for any wine lover looking for a little challenge!
