The Future of Fashion is Now is this season’s AMCONYC theme. A platform that brings together emerging millennial designers, allowing them to share their creations with top fashion insiders, AMCONYC has quickly become one of my favorite events during New York Fashion Week.
Held at the spacious Studio 450 near Hudson Yard, AMCONYC showcased several fashion collections and jewelry lines. I had the amazing opportunity to see the Éva Michelle Designs runway show and the OBdeC Studio presentation.
Designer Kelly Coe is the mastermind behind Éva Michelle Designs. Kelly says “dark roses” are the inspiration behind this collection. The color palette of the collection is full of warm, rich tones. The dresses have feminine sleek silhouettes and the textures are complex and unique. The line is elegant and cohesive.
The stunning handmade pieces by OBdeC Studios made their debut at AMCONYC this season. The one-of-a kind pieces are the brainchild of Olga Borges. The remarkable pieces include stones, textured metals, and exquisite shapes. The collection included gold bracelet cuffs, long linked necklaces and intricately-designed rings.
This season, AMCONYC partnered with Fashion Week Online, ABC, NY1 & New York Fashion Weekly Magazine. Make-Up Pro was their official makeup sponsor and Aveda was their official hair sponsor.
