As any glamor girl knows, New York Fashion Week can be exhausting. Luckily for us, there was a spot (or two) for us to hang out and relax in between shows. Check out our recap of our favorite lounges during NYFW.
Refresh Lounge Two, set up by Social Done Right and Go To Girl Branding, allowed us to sit back, relax, and get pampered by professionals. Located in a suite at The Empire Hotel, the lounge space was loaded with fashionistas, champagne and goodies begging to be taken advantage of. Fortunately I was able to get my make-up done and hair fixed by Gloss and Glam so that I could trek to my next show in style. They did a fabulous job! Not only was I able to sip on cocktails and relax, but I also learned all about an unbelievably gorgeous brand called Alessandro Vitalle. The designer makes totally luxe iPhone cases, but unless you have a secret stash of millions lying around, you probably can’t afford one. The cases, made out of 18k gold and either alligator, snake, or lizard skin, range in price from $14,000-$16,000 and can be custom made. Celebrities will be all over these in no time. However, their cufflinks, which are just as stunning, are more affordable. Ladies, don’t be sad because soon the company will branch out into jewelry! We can’t wait.
Also located in The Empire Hotel, was the Home Shopping Network‘s ‘The Fashion Edit’ lounge, which was not only huge, but plenty busy. Guests could receive hair and makeup touch ups from Trish McEvoy and Blow, as well as browse HSN’s new fall collection and learn all about what they are carrying. While we stopped by, we spotted HSN host Colleen Lopez chatting it up with style icon Iris Apfel for the cameras. To make it even better, attendees left for their next show with a bag full of fashion week goodies!
Next up was a super fun event, hosted at Hyatt Union Square in their Sanctuary Suite. Accessory2 hosted the Style Tweetup, a lounge filled with some of the hottest accessories as picked by accessory expert Kimmie Smith and wearable expert Paul Farkas. While guests relaxed with cocktails and small bites, they learned about some amazing brands and left with an armful of goodies. Lori Leigh Designs showcased their clever, yet fashionable storage for jewelry, perfect for traveling and containing Amrita Singh earrings, Jellyfish showcased their stylish bluetooth speakers in fun, bright colors, and Lumo, which is an innovative device worn as a broach that helps your posture and tracks your steps and calories, showcased their clever designs. We also walked away with an array of Hanes tights, Crest 3D White Strips, killer shoes from Ami Clubwear, a charger from Puku, and jewelry from LuLu Avenue. We feel sorry for you if you missed out on this lounge!
Last but not least, we had to get pampered at the Panasonic Beauty Bar, located at Salon SCK. This two day lounge had celebrity hairstylists providing guests with exclusive blow dry and styling sessions using the new Panasonic nanoe Beauty Tools. Not only could you get your hair styled, but manicure were provided by Pedicure.com, as well as make-up services. While you got pampered, you could nosh on frozen Greek yogurt by Lifeway Kefir, coffee drinks from Tim Horton’s, cocktails by Skinnygirl Sparklers and gifting by Kleenex. Many celebrities stopped by to get glammed up, including Kelly Rutherford, Nicky Hilton, Nina Garcia, Adrienne Baillon, Zendaya and many more. By the time I traipsed out of there, I looked fab!
