Rosé all day? More like rosé all summer! The lavish rooftop at the Mondrian Park Avenue, Mondrian Terrace, has transformed this summer into a rosé-themed wonderland, with both indoor and outdoor seating (perfect for this finicky weather!). The newly-dubbed Rosé Terrace could go badly gimmicky, but luckily doesn’t go over the top with millennial pink decor, instead adding subtle touches of color with floral walls, making sure to appeal to both men and women.
Their on theme menu features a delicious selection of rosé wines (all of which are available by the glass or bottle), as well as rosé cocktails, all of which hit the spot. You can opt for a classic Frosé, or branch out to more innovative options like the Rosérita, a riff on a classic margarita, featuring Casamigos Blanco Tequila, Marie Brizard Raspberry, chili, lime and agave, or even the popular Tastemaker, made with Grey Goose Vodka, Romance Rosé, strawberry, cucumber, lemon and soda. Other cocktails include a Rosé Sangria, Rosé Sbagliatio, r – G & T, Terrace Sparkler, and Smoke Show. We didn’t have a bad sip in the place!
For those who need some sustenance with their wine, the Rosé Terrace also offers a small selection of tasty bites, like Pork Belly Tostadas, Heirloom Tomato Salad and Beef Sliders. On our night out we tried a dish that never fails — the Cheese Board. The Terrace’s came with farmstead cheeses, seasonal jam, honeycomb and olive oil crackers. The combination of the honeycomb with some of the creamier cheeses was divine! We topped that off with the Pimento Cheese Flatbread, with is topped with prosciutto and peach chutney. Reminiscent of a typical bar snack with the pimento cheese, but elevated with its execution and use, this was a super fun dish. Hit up the rooftop between 4 and 10pm and you can also score Rosé Cotton Candy!
We walked in expecting a cliché, themed rooftop cashing in on the rosé trend, and walked out wanting to come back for more another five rounds. Well done!
