Times Square can be overwhelming, especially to a seasoned New Yorker. The hustle and bustle, crowds, lines and crowded restaurants can easily make you crazy… but isn’t that the beauty of New York?
For those seeking more of an intimate experience after the theater, on a weeknight or weekend, and want a guaranteed seat or table, you should check out the Hyatt Times Square. Overlooking all of Times Square at the hotel’s Bar 54 is a one of a kind experience and view. Here you will find a new winter cocktail menu that will excite and liven up your taste buds as you take a break from the busy streets and cold weather.
Mixologist Julie Reiner created this bold cocktail menu for the chilly season and it’s hot, hot, hot! The Brighton Beets cocktail is made with beet infused vodka, Tanqueray, and Ruby Port and has an incredible natural beet color. Here at Bar 54, they infuse the beets into the vodka to create the vibrant magenta cocktail and top it with a lemon peel and some mint; it’s very refreshing.
If you prefer something a bit more on the apple-infused side, the Doctor’s Note is crafted with Laird’s Bonded Applejack, hard cider and garnished with apple slices and cinnamon. This is a very fall/winter cocktail!
Because it’s not winter without some blood orange, the Colletti Royale is a winter warmer that’s fun and a bit sexy with St. Germain, Partida Tequila, and champagne. Topped with a blood orange wheel, this one is great for girls night out and aperitifs. If you’re in the mood for something similar to a Manhattan (with a Twist) however, the Rhapsody in Rye will win your heart with Bulleit Rye, Amaro and bitters; this one is the perfect nightcap cocktail.
Bar 54 allows hotel guests, as well as the public, up to explore all that is has to offer. You are guaranteed a seat as they perfectly plan out how many guests are allowed up during the night, which is a treat when you don’t have to stand at the bar eyeing people until they get up to find a table. Have a cocktail at one of the most stylish hotel bars in NYC, and warm up this winter with one of these new and unique cocktails!
