Raise your hand if you like Ryan Reynolds. (Who doesn’t?) Raise your hands if you dig Eddie Bauer. (Flannel all dayyyy.) Put the two together and you’ve got one helluva combo. Last week, atop Manhattan’s High Line, Eddie Bauer, along with American Forests and philanthropic ambassador Ryan Reynolds, came together to celebrate the One Tree Initiative. Eddie Bauer has long been a huge supporter of protecting our environment, and recently celebrated helping to plant 50 million trees.
The One Tree Initiative boasts their #Hug2Give campaign, in which anyone (yes, even you) can hug a tree, post a photo of it on Instagram or Twitter and tag #onetree #hug2give @americanforests and @eddiebauer, and Eddie Bauer will donate $50 on your behalf towards planting trees in the US, up to 25 thousand trees!
Growing up in Canada, Reynolds had the fortune of having nature as his playground, so he felt compelled to be involved in this campaign. He spoke to his roots in Canada at the event and described this partnership as a “match made in heaven.”

The campaign only runs until September 15th, so make sure to get out there and hug some trees!!
