Happy Pride Week!! New York City’s annual Pride Week has arrived and there are plenty of not-to-be-missed parties and events taking place throughout the city.
Kim Stolz and Amanda Leigh Dunn’s awesome lesbian bar, The Dalloway, kicked off Pride Week on Sunday and have fun events lined up all week long. Party hard during Singles Night this Tuesday, hosted by Grouper! and meet plenty of fun, single ladies during speed dating, or head to Pride Prom on Thursday night, complete with a photo booth to capture those awkward prom photos and drink specials starting at 9pm. Check out The Dalloway Pride Friday happy hour from 5-7pm, or Saturday & Sunday’s Rainbow Brunch, from 11am-4pm, featuring happy hour and beer pong, and keep the party going on Sunday at 4pm with the Parade Party, featuring $5 margaritas, $4 beers and $1 oysters.
The Spotted Pig will host their 5th annual Gay Pride Party on Sunday, which begins after the parade around 5:3opm. Order up specialty shots for $10, served from their signature ‘adult’ ice luge (we can only imagine what shape it will take), and beers will be available for $6. The party will go late into the night with music provided by DJ Jasper. Want to get the party started a bit earlier? Head to The Rusty Knot, where Le Tigre’s JD Sampson, Juifer’s Amber Valentine, and DJ W. Jeremy will kick off festivities at 2pm.
Dinner and a movie at KTCHN just got a little bit better. On Tuesday at 8pm, two original To Wong Foo cast members, David Drumgold and Flotilla DeBarg, will host ‘Rocky Horror Picture Show’-style dinner and a movie in association with David Barton Gym. The evening will include a themed three course dinner, complimentary cocktail, gourmet popcorn, authentic movie candy and surprises for just $35. Sounds like a night to remember!
Not enough pride for ya? There are plenty more fun events to partake in, including Rapture on the River, Pridefest, and many more! Check out all that Pride Week has to offer here!
